Overview

Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine and extensive preventative maintenance, repair troubleshoot, install and maintain building and equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and maintenance experience.
  • Valid Georgia driver license required.
  • Must possess and carry proof of insurance and vehicle registration.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must have a good and clear understanding of health facility maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Capability to step in and out of vehicles, walk at a brisk pace, squat, kneel, and/or crouch for short periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs to buildings, fixtures and windows; replace switches, outlets, and light bulbs.
  • Inspect and clean air conditioning units periodically; perform a variety of preventative maintenance duties.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning and paper supplies and materials at all sites. Request additional materials according to established procedures.      
  • Blow and clear sidewalks and entry ways; remove trash and waste paper from center facilities; remove leaves and debris from center roofs, gutters and downspouts.
  • Build, adjust, and arrange furniture; set up sites for special events and meetings as assigned.
  • Assure security of buildings and grounds during assigned shift; turn lights on and off; unlock and lock doors.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools and equipment used in general maintenance work.
  • Inspect doors, windows and assigned areas for vandalism; report safety, fire hazards and vandalism as appropriate.
  • Communicate with staff, administrators and others regarding general maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a variety of records related to preventative maintenance, supplies, mileage, work orders, vandalism and hazardous waste records.
  • Partner with the Safety & Risk Manager on completing environmental rounds monthly for each site.
  • Completes weekly maintenance routine checks for all MedCura locations.
